M.D.S. VIDYA MANDIR INTER COLLEGE

To foster all-round development of students and to promote creativity, leadership, discipline, and team spirit, M.D.S. Vidya Mandir Inter College has established the following student clubs. These clubs provide platforms for students to explore their interests beyond academics.

1. Literary Club

Objective: To enhance reading, writing, and oratory skills in Hindi and English.

• Debates, speeches, and elocution competitions
• Essay writing, story writing and creative writing & literary quizzes.
• Reading sessions, book reviews, poetry recitation, storytelling & speech competitions
• Anchoring and compering school events, public speaking.
• Encourages participation in inter-school literary events.

2. Science & Innovation Club

Objective: To cultivate scientific temper, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.

• Science exhibitions and model-making
• Simple scientific experiments & quizzes
• Science quiz and Olympiad preparation
• Field visits to science museums/labs
• Celebrating National Science Day.

3. Eco & Environment Club

Objective: To raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainability.

• Tree plantation drives
• Cleanliness campaigns
• Poster-making on environmental themes
• Recycling projects
• Eco-friendly competitions
• ‘No Plastic’ awareness and waste segregation programs

4. Cultural Club

Objective: To encourage participation in India’s rich cultural heritage through music, dance, drama, and art.

• Folk and classical dance
• Singing competitions, rangoli & painting
• Dramatics and street plays
• Celebration of national festivals

5. Sports & Fitness Club

Objective: To promote physical health, teamwork, fitness, and a spirit of healthy competition.

• Organization of intra-school sports events
• Yoga sessions and fitness routines
• Training in athletics and games (e.g., kabaddi, volleyball)
• Awareness about health and nutrition
• Inter-house matches & Annual Sports Day

6. Art & Craft Club

Objective: To nurture artistic creativity and innovation through various mediums.

• Drawing and painting competitions
• Craftwork using recycled materials
• Rangoli and mehndi art
• Exhibition of student artwork
• Organizes art competitions, exhibitions, and DIY sessions.

7. IT & Cyber Awareness Club

Objective: To promote digital literacy and responsible use of technology.

• Basics of computer and internet use
• Awareness on cyber security and digital ethics
• Coding workshops and presentations
• Tech quizzes and online research training

8. Social Service & Citizenship Club

Objective: To instill social responsibility and civic values.

• Visits to orphanages or old age homes
• Fundraising or donation drives
• First-aid awareness and safety sessions
• Participation in community awareness programs

9. Heritage & History Club

Objective: To deepen understanding and appreciation of Indian history and heritage.

• Quiz competitions on historical topics
• Heritage walks or virtual tours
• Role plays and skits on historical events
• Display boards showcasing Indian monuments and heroes
• Historical quiz competitions
• Storytelling about freedom fighters and local legends.

10. Mathematics Club

Objective: To make mathematics enjoyable and practical through puzzles, problem-solving, and activities.

• Math quizzes, Sudoku contests, Vedic math workshops, and math exhibitions
• Makes learning mathematics fun and engaging through puzzles, quizzes, and games.
• Organizes Math Olympiads, aptitude tests, and number-based competitions.
• Enhances analytical and problem-solving skills.

11. General Knowledge Club

Objective: To enhance students' awareness of current events, general knowledge, and global happenings, and to promote intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.

12. Geography and Global Awareness Club

Objective: To promote understanding of physical geography and global interdependence.

• Model making of geographical features and natural phenomena
• Weather chart and mapping activities
• Debates and presentations on global issues like climate change, migration, etc.
• Celebrating Geography Awareness Week

Club Participation Guidelines

• Students are encouraged to join at least one club based on their interest.
• Each club will meet regularly under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
• Participation and performance in club activities will be considered for annual awards and certificates.
• Clubs may collaborate on special events like Annual Day, Science Fair, or Cultural Week.
