Suggestions for Parents Regarding Their Children and the School

At M.D.S. Vidya Mandir Inter College, we believe that education is a shared responsibility between the school and the parents. To foster a positive and productive environment for our students, we request all parents to kindly consider the following suggestions:

  1. Active Participation
    • Attend all Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to discuss your child’s academic progress and overall development.
    • Be involved in school activities and encourage your child to participate in extracurricular programmes.
  2. Regular Attendance & Punctuality
    • Ensure that your child attends school regularly and is punctual.
    • Avoid unnecessary absences or late arrivals which may disrupt learning.
  3. Uniform and Discipline
    • Ensure that your child wears the prescribed school uniform neatly and appropriately.
    • Teach your child the importance of discipline, respect for teachers, and obedience to school rules.
  4. Academic Monitoring
    • Regularly check your child’s classwork, homework, and school diary.
    • Provide a quiet and supportive home environment for study and revision.
  5. Healthy Lifestyle
    • Encourage healthy eating habits and provide a nutritious tiffin.
    • Ensure your child gets adequate sleep and avoids excessive use of mobile phones or digital devices.
  6. Communication with School
    • Keep open lines of communication with class teachers and school authorities.
    • Inform the school about any medical conditions, changes in address, or family situations that may affect the child’s learning or behaviour.
  7. Moral & Emotional Support
    • Motivate your child to be honest, kind, and responsible.
    • Avoid comparing your child with others. Appreciate effort and encourage improvement.
  8. Digital Responsibility
    • Monitor and guide your child’s use of the internet and social media.
    • Teach them to use technology safely, wisely, and for educational purposes.
  9. Avoiding Private Tuitions
    • Trust the school’s teaching system. Avoid unnecessary private tuitions unless truly required.
    • Contact the school if your child is facing academic difficulties — support will be provided.
  10. Partnership in Progress
    • Treat school as a partner in shaping your child’s future.
    • Cooperate with the school in all its endeavours, rules, and developmental initiatives.

We appreciate your support and cooperation in nurturing responsible, disciplined, and well-educated citizens of tomorrow.
